Dance / This Piece Won’t Change the World

THIS PIECE WON'T CHANGE THE WORLD.

Sunday 28 November
Ron Ball Studio | Christchurch Town Hall
10:00 - 11:00

A couple, perform a couple of couples. Harnessing a wide range of performative styles Matthew and Benedikte use everything at their disposal to present a humorous exploration of coupledom.

What is real/actual/autobiographic is morphed into fiction leaving an uncertainty as to what is genuine and what is fake. Helping to shed light on these matters is the well-known Dunedin based lighting designer Marty Roberts.

Together they play with the real, the surreal and what lies in between. The stereotypes, the clichés, the truths, the untruths and the constant negotiation of relationship are all up for grabs.
