Olivia O’Brien

Olivia auditioned and was accepted into the Hagley Dance Company in 2016 and was the Sheryl Robinson Scholarship recipient for her year.

From Hagley, Olivia was accepted into Unitec’s Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts (Contemporary Dance) degree where she has spent 3 years developing her contemporary dance and choreographic techniques under the best New Zealand has to offer.

Her work ‘Appe-Tight’ was a finalist and won Most Innovative Choreography in Short and Sweet 2019. Olivia has found a keen interest in making work that is slightly dirty, incorporates humour and displays high intensity, virtuosic movement.

14 hours of curated performance.
